West Palm Beach financial counselor Dan Hall, longtime treasurer of the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council, has been named a recipient of the Harvey Milk Diversity Honors Award, to be presented this evening (May 6) at Hardrock Live in Hollywood.
For more than three decades, Hall has been Palm Beach County’s leading fundraiser for LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS nonprofit organizations, according to PBCHRC president and founder Rand Hoch.
Hall not only serves as the organization’s treasurer, he also manages PBCHRC’s intake calls, helping steer LGBTQ people to the appropriate resources to assist them in times of need, Hoch said.
“Dan has also been instrumental in the development of several nonprofit organizations in Palm Beach County including Hope House, Found Care, Compass, CAP and the Palm Beach Democratic Club.”
In recognition of his dedication to the LGBTQ community, in 2015, PBCHRC established the Daniel S. Hall Social Justice Awards, annual scholarships presented to local college-bound high school seniors who have demonstrated an interest in advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ community.
A native of Pittsburgh, he was raised in McLean, Virginia. A graduate of George Washington University and the Washington and Lee University School of Law.
