The Southern Boulevard (SR 80) Causeway will have lane closures from 9 p.m. Sunday, June 11, to 6 a.m. Monday, June 12, with closures alternating between eastbound and westbound lanes.
Flag crews will maintain two-way traffic in one lane as a barrier wall is installed and a portion of the causeway is restriped.
The Southern Boulevard (SR 80) Bridges Replacement Project includes replacing the existing drawbridge and tide relief bridge over the IntracoastalWaterway and Lake Worth Lagoon, between Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. The project stretches from Washington Road in West Palm and State Road A1A/South
Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach.
New decorative lighting, pedestrian features, traffic signals, signage and drainage are included. A temporary bridge will be built north of the existing bridge to maintain traffic while the replacement drawbridge is under construction.
Construction began April 3 and will last until late 2020. The
